The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 will bring together leading global companies from October 1-3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, showcasing groundbreaking energy solutions, smart city technologies, and eco-friendly innovations. Organized annually by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the exhibition has become a vital platform for promoting the latest advancements in water, energy, and environmental sustainability.

Spotlight on Energy Innovations

From low to high-voltage substations, integrated plants, eco-friendly transformers, and cutting-edge power cables, WETEX 2024 promises to be a comprehensive display of innovations for energy production, transmission, and distribution. Industry leaders like Jeddah Cables Company, Riyadh Cables Group, and AG Power will feature their state-of-the-art products, designed to boost the efficiency and reliability of energy infrastructures worldwide.

Hesham Helal Elsewedy, Chairman of Jeddah Cables Company, noted, “We have proudly partnered with DEWA for decades, supplying power cables that have become central to Dubai’s energy network. Our participation in WETEX demonstrates our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”

Similarly, Riyadh Cables Group plans to highlight its advanced cable solutions designed for sustainable infrastructure projects. “WETEX is a convergence of thought leaders and decision-makers who are shaping the future of sustainability,” said Bassam Naes, Group Marketing Director of Riyadh Cables.

Diverse Industry Participation

AG Power, a subsidiary of Al Ghurair Investment, will exhibit its turnkey solutions for HV substations, focusing on reliable power supply to foster economic growth and sustainable development. “Our long-standing partnership with DEWA enables us to contribute to a more sustainable future,” said K. Jacob John, CEO of AG Power.

Tesar SRL, an Italian company that has supplied over 9,000 transformers to DEWA, will showcase its advancements in energy-efficient transformers capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions. Matteo Angiolini, Managing Director of Tesar SRL, emphasized the company’s commitment to growing its presence in the Gulf area and developing new solutions for renewable energy and e-mobility.

Pioneering Sustainability Initiatives

Other key participants like Voltamp Energy SAOG, Emirates Transformers & Switchgear Ltd, and Federal Electricals will focus on promoting sustainability through technological advancements. Voltamp, for instance, has become the first company in the GCC to design and supply 500 MVA, 400 kV power transformers, setting new benchmarks in the region’s energy sector.

Federal Electricals will present eco-friendly transformers designed for optimal efficiency in power generation, transmission, and distribution. “Our product range is aligned with regional goals for reducing energy consumption and promoting sustainability,” said Ganesh Kandasamy, Group General Manager.

Future-Forward Companies and Technologies

Exhibitors such as Power Plus Cable Co LLC, TAMCO Switchgear, and BEST Transformer will also play a significant role in showcasing their latest innovations. Power Plus Cable Co, a local UAE manufacturer, will emphasize the importance of collaboration in driving sustainable solutions, while TAMCO Switchgear will focus on how reliable electrification can lead to greater sustainability in various sectors.

BEST Transformer, based in Türkiye, will highlight its global presence, exporting to over 110 countries and serving energy solution needs across diverse industries. “Our strong partnership with DEWA allows us to contribute to the energy sector’s advancement,” said Merter Berber, Sales Director of BEST A.Ş.

Local and International Collaboration

WETEX 2024 will also see participation from local companies like Bonn Group and Ray International Electrical Contracting. Bonn Group will present its cable trays and ladders, while Ray International will showcase innovative solutions for overhead line monitoring, further solidifying WETEX as a critical event for industry leaders worldwide.

WETEX 2024 promises to be a significant milestone for the global energy sector, bringing together the world’s foremost innovators, decision-makers, and stakeholders in energy production and sustainability. With its commitment to environmental advancements and cutting-edge technologies, WETEX continues to lead the charge toward a greener, more sustainable future.
