Dubai’s transition to clean energy took center stage at the DRE Business Meet, “Utility-Scale Renewables | The Next Leap,” organized by the Dubai Renewable Energy Business Group under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together policymakers, financiers, and industry leaders to explore how large-scale renewable projects can accelerate the UAE’s journey toward a sustainable energy future.
Opening the Event
Opening the event, Mr. Faisal Ali Al Rashid, Senior Director – Demand Side Management at the Supreme Council of Energy, emphasized Dubai’s focus on efficiency and demand-side measures as critical enablers of a low-carbon future. He highlighted that utility-scale renewables are not only strategic for energy security but also essential for achieving the nation’s climate goals.
