Dubai witnessed an insightful gathering of HVAC industry leaders at the exclusive event titled “Unlock Limitless Opportunities with Next-Gen Chillers & Experience the Power Behind Intelligent Cooling,” hosted by Maunsell Building Materials Trading L.L.C. in collaboration with Maplef Canada and Kirloskar Chillers ME. The event, held at Dusit Thani, Downtown Dubai on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, brought together key stakeholders to discuss innovation, sustainability, and the future of cooling systems across the GCC region.

The evening was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Tariq Ibrahim, Chief Executive – RERA (Permits & Inspection), who shared his compelling vision on sustainability and highlighted Dubai’s progressive efforts since 2013 to embed sustainable practices within the real estate and construction sectors. He emphasized the emirate’s regulatory advancements and its commitment to energy efficiency, underscoring the importance of intelligent cooling technologies in achieving long-term environmental goals.

Tareq Al-Jaf, Head – Business Development (Maunsell), delivered the opening address, setting the tone for the event. He introduced the latest developments from Maplef and shared insights into the newly launched Maplef KSA factory, strategically positioned to cater to the entire GCC market. The expansion reflects Maplef Canada’s commitment to regional growth and faster delivery of high-performance solutions tailored to local project needs.

The technical spotlight turned to Paul Stevens, Head – PICV R&D (Maplef Canada), and Abdul Razak, Head – Strategic & Technical (Maunsell), who led an engaging Open Forum and Q&A session on Maplef PICVs (MaPro Pressure Independent Control Valves). The session provided in-depth clarity on system optimization, energy savings, and performance reliability, drawing active participation from consultants, contractors, and developers in attendance.

On the chiller technology front, Saket Bhishikar, Head – Sales & Business Development (Kirloskar Chillers ME), and Abhishek Paranjape, Head – ESCO & Application Engineering (Kirloskar Chillers ME), presented a comprehensive overview of Kirloskar’s Next-Gen Chillers. They walked attendees through the company’s extensive product range, engineering capabilities, and strong global presence, highlighting innovations designed to enhance efficiency, reduce lifecycle costs, and support sustainable infrastructure development.

The panel discussion, themed “Unlocking Project Success: Collaboration, Technology & Execution in Next-Gen Cooling Systems,” featured distinguished panelists including Nabil Shahin (Managing Director, AHRI), Dr. Samiullah Khan (Chief Sustainability Officer, Fakhruddin Holdings), Yogesh Kulkarni (Industry Expert – HVAC Industry), Mustapha Aanzi (Executive Vice President, Al Ghurair), Aakash Dave (Sr. Manager – Design & Execution, Damac Properties), and Shantanu Nadpurohit (International Business Head, Kirloskar Chillers ME). The discussion examined the challenges and opportunities in delivering high-performance cooling systems from multiple stakeholder perspectives—developers, consultants, manufacturers, and sustainability leaders.

Collectively, the event underscored a shared industry commitment to collaboration, advanced technology adoption, and sustainable execution. By aligning innovation with regional growth strategies, Maplef Canada and Kirloskar Chillers ME reinforced their roles as key contributors to the GCC’s evolving cooling landscape.
