‘Ghaba’ Initiative: Revolutionizing Desert Greening with Breathable Sand
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Dake Rechsand, a Dubai-based company, is embarking on an ambitious initiative to create green cover in deserts using their groundbreaking technology, Breathable Sand. The upcoming investor presentation, titled “Ghaba” (Arabic for forests), aims to unveil a grand ambition of desert greening, previously deemed unattainable due to arid climate, desert conditions, soil salinity, and water scarcity in the Middle East.

Dake Rechsand’s goal for this year is to plant 200,000 trees, with a plan to scale up to ten million trees by 2025, showcasing a significant commitment to enhancing regional and global sustainability parameters. The innovative Breathable Sand technology plays a pivotal role in making deserts more conducive to plant life by retaining water and improving soil structure, enabling successful growth where traditional methods fall short.

Chandra Date, CEO, Dake Rechsand

The “Ghaba” initiative presents an appealing investment opportunity with promising long-term growth prospects, aligning well with the increasing focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria among investors. Beyond its environmental impact, this initiative has the potential to generate new job opportunities in forestry, agriculture, and sustainability, contributing to the development of a more resilient and sustainable food system while providing livelihoods for local communities.

Moreover, the “Ghaba” initiative can play a crucial role in combating climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Forests act as vital carbon sinks, absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere and storing it in their biomass, making them essential in the global effort to mitigate climate change.

In summary, Dake Rechsand’s “Ghaba” initiative, driven by Breathable Sand technology, aims to transform deserts into green landscapes, offering a promising investment avenue with the potential to significantly impact sustainability, create jobs, foster a sustainable food system, and contribute to climate change mitigation.
