ActivePure: Advancing Sustainability and Resilience in Indoor Air Quality
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

28 March 2026

In today’s world, where people spend the majority of their time indoors, maintaining high indoor air quality has become essential for both health and environmental sustainability. As buildings evolve to become more energy-efficient and tightly sealed, the need for advanced air purification solutions has grown. ActivePure technology offers an innovative approach that supports not only cleaner air but also long-term resilience in indoor environments.

ActivePure works by using a shielded light-and-catalyst process to generate oxidizing molecules from humidity in the air, which are then distributed throughout the space to help reduce airborne contaminants and surface pollutants.

Unlike passive filtration systems that only act on contaminants that pass through the unit, ActivePure is designed to work throughout the space, helping reduce bacteria, viruses, mold, certain odors, and VOCs in the air and on surfaces. Its continuous action may help support hygiene programs by reducing dependence on some supplemental chemical interventions in certain environments, while not replacing routine cleaning and disinfection practices.

From a sustainability perspective, ActivePure supports energy-efficient operations by complementing existing HVAC systems without requiring significant additional power. Its continuous action can also reduce the need for excessive chemical cleaning products, helping lower environmental impact while maintaining hygienic spaces. This aligns with modern sustainability goals focused on reducing energy consumption and minimizing harmful emissions.

Resilience is another key advantage of ActivePure technology. By continuously improving indoor air quality, it helps create environments that are better prepared to handle everyday pollutants and emerging health concerns. Cleaner air contributes to improved occupant comfort, productivity, and overall well-being, making indoor spaces more adaptable to changing conditions.

Incorporating ActivePure into indoor environments represents a forward-thinking solution that balances health, sustainability, and performance. As the demand for cleaner and safer air continues to grow, technologies like ActivePure play a vital role in building resilient spaces that support both people and the planet.
