A Day to Honour UAE’s Women, Led by Eng. Maitha Alblooshi

Leaders and professionals from fintech, green properties and sustainability came together for a special gathering honouring the achievements, contributions and aspirations of Emirati women.

The occasion brought together a room full of achievers, entrepreneurs, changemakers and industry voices for an afternoon centred on stories of determination, growth and leadership. More than a ceremonial celebration, the gathering provided an opportunity to recognise the role Emirati women continue to play in shaping the UAE’s economic, social and professional landscape.

A Guest of Honour Who Embodies the Spirit of the Day

At the heart of the gathering was Guest of Honour Eng. Maitha Alblooshi, an Agile Coach at Emirates NBD whose experience, perspective and approach to leadership have positioned her as an emerging voice within the UAE’s banking and professional landscape.

Poised, articulate and deeply connected to the spirit of the occasion, Eng. Maitha Alblooshi set the tone with reflections centred on confidence, self-belief and the importance of creating opportunities.

“We have the potential, and we never wait for doors to open,” she said. “We move forward with our own faith and our own capabilities. Opportunities are endless, and women can fly as high as their determination takes them.”

She also encouraged women to pursue their aspirations while remaining true to themselves.

“Do what makes you feel like your true self,” she said. “Step out of your comfort zone and truly enjoy your life.”

Her message resonated with the gathering, reflecting the confidence and ambition of Emirati women who continue to contribute across sectors and professional fields.

Industry Leaders Add Their Voice

Mr Tariq Ibrahim, Founder and Chairman of Funds Verifier Portal, who previously held a senior leadership role overseeing Permits & Inspections at Dubai Land Department’s RERA division, shared his reflections on the significance of the occasion.

He highlighted the important contribution of Emirati women to the UAE’s progress and spoke about their growing role in the country’s technological future.

“The UAE’s technological future will be led by women,” Ibrahim said. “I extend my deepest respect to the brilliant women who will stand at the forefront of technological development, powered by their intelligence and their character.”

Gia Dumbadze, Partner and CEO of Invest Georgia UAE, also highlighted the contribution of Emirati women to the UAE’s development and their role in shaping the country’s growth story.

“Emirati women have always stood at the forefront of progress,” Dumbadze said, expressing hope for continued opportunities for women in the years ahead.

A Celebration Rooted in Substance

The gathering brought together perspectives from fintech, green properties, sustainability, finance and entrepreneurship, creating a space for meaningful conversations around leadership, innovation and the evolving role of women across the UAE’s professional landscape.

Beyond the celebration itself, the occasion highlighted a broader message: Emirati women continue to make their mark across industries, taking on leadership roles, building businesses, driving innovation and contributing to the UAE’s development.

As conversations continued and connections were made, the spirit of the gathering remained focused on recognising achievement while looking towards the opportunities ahead.

The celebration served as a tribute to the achievements of Emirati women and their continuing contribution to the UAE’s growth, innovation and future.
